About Matthew Arnold

Born in Bay Shore as the youngest among eight children, my unwavering connection to family and community has anchored me to the captivating shores of Long Island. It is the profound love I have for this place and the cherished relationships with my family and friends that have kept me rooted here throughout the years.

While growing up, I faced considerable adversity. I leveraged my past adversity and drew strength from my family relationships to shape myself into a resilient and accomplished real estate professional. Upon immersing myself in this industry, I came to a realization that it offered a unique and unparalleled opportunity to connect with individuals in a way that few others can. It became evident to me that real estate provided the perfect avenue to genuinely assist and support others in a distinctive manner.

For a decade, I served as the Co-owner/Broker at Dutch Door Realty, overseeing and managing operations in West Sayville, Bay Shore, and East Islip. In 2009, I embraced new opportunities by joining Netter Real Estate, which not only broadened my horizons but also provided me with a professional environment that felt like a second home due to the significant amount of time I dedicated to it.

Motivated by my firsthand experiences of the challenges within the real estate industry, I actively engaged with the Long Island Board of Realtors (LIBOR) to become a driving force in bringing about positive change. Witnessing these struggles personally, I felt an unwavering determination to be part of the solution. Through active participation and dedication, I immersed myself in various positions of LIBOR, becoming involved in nearly every aspect of the organization. This extensive involvement allowed me to exert my leadership skills within both LIBOR and the real estate industry as a whole, playing a vital role in shaping its current state. 

As a passionate and committed member of LIBOR, my contributions have been acknowledged and recognized. In 2002, I was honored with the Outstanding Achievement and Service Award. Subsequently, in 2008, I received the Realtor Spirit Award, and in 2016, I was recognized as the Realtor Salesperson of the Year. These accolades paved the way for me to assume the highest executive position as the LIBOR President in 2020. During my presidency, I played a crucial and instrumental role in successfully facilitating the merger between Hudson Gateway and One Key and thriving through the pandemic—an accomplishment that holds immense significance to me. Throughout my tenure, I served as a steadfast advocate, wholeheartedly embracing its values and mission, and dedicating myself to advancing its cause.

Having served my time in office, I was presented with an opportunity to extend to the state level, but made the decision to focus on my local community. This decision was driven by my recognition that one of the most enjoyable aspects of my job is interacting with clients. I take great pride in my unwavering commitment to never give up on my clients, relentlessly striving to fulfill their needs and desires, regardless of the challenges that may arise.  Rest assured, you can rely on me to enthusiastically assist you with all your buying or selling needs while drawing upon my experiences and dedication to the real estate industry.
